I finally found the sort of image that has inspired me for my Woman drawings / screenprints. Here is a photo of it – sculpture which I saw at Agatha Christie’s house in Dartmouth. (Sound’s like name dropping, except that its a National Trust property now).
And annoyingly, I forgot to write down the name of the sculptor so I can’t acknowledge him or her. I liked the attenuated stylised body and the pierced light to show contours. Based on that I did a drawing – although I will have to get a model to pose for the series.
Hope you like the haircut. in the story she vows not to cut her hair until she is reunited with her lover, so here it is before growing. This will be a lovely image to play with.
