I’ve been blogging for almost 5 days a week since 1st January 2012; keeping a creative journal to reflect and think about where I’m going. But it’s more than that – it’s also a way of keeping in contact with my friends, “students” and family in the calligraphy and creative world and sharing inspiration and ideas.
I’m a real person, so sometimes my creative day is simply making chutney and my inspiration is found in the Oxfordshire countryside around me, or on a family holiday. I often do art with my little granddaughters, so that gets blogged. Creativity presses my buttons, whether it’s arranging bright fresh oranges in beautiful blue bowl, experiencing an electric thunderstorm or visiting the Tate.
You’ll see projects unfold, discover the “behind the scenes” info, and hopefully get some tips and share your insights. I have a website and online shop called “Slice of Lime”. I also have a themed exhibition which shows a body of work around a theme.
Currently, I am doing calligraphy, letter-design, watercolour and printmaking. My daughter and I collaborated on a book titled Rope of Words and you cna follow the thought and creative process over 18 months.
